Do you have a hectic lifestyle and don’t know how to make time for healthy eating or exercise?  Have your weight-loss efforts been repeatedly thwarted by fad diets and gimmicks that simply don’t work?  Once you’ve lost weight, do you have trouble keeping it off?

‘I know what it’s like’, says Vickie.  ‘I struggled for years trying the latest fad diets because I believed the hype and advertising, but none of them worked.  Either I didn’t lose weight or I did in the short term but then put it back on again.  After years of research, I realised there is only one way to successfully lose weight and keep it off, and it’s actually quite simple when you know how!’

Diet Tips for Busy Chicks contains Vickie’s proven weight-loss tips and techniques, derived from personal experience, years of research and her study of nutrition.  Once busy women get the facts about weight loss they will no longer be seduced by ‘quick fix’ diets and unrealistic claims ever again.

Diet Tips for Busy Chicks has featured in New Idea Australia, New Idea New Zealand, Australian Women’s Weekly, Weight Watcher’s Magazine Australia, as well as smaller publications and on radio stations 3AW, 101.1 and Radio Eastern.

Love this book! Written by an author with an absolute passion about good, healthy eating.

Finally, a self-help book women can relate to. No fads, no false promises, and no artificial hype. I followed the simple tips, lost weight, and I feel great! I particularly enjoyed the stories woven throughout the book of other women who, like me, had battled with diet and self-esteem.  These stories made it unique.  They made it real. They helped me to focus on myself and what I wanted rather than what the diet industry dictates. Hats off to the author.  She  knows what women want.

I recommend Diet Tips for Busy Chicks.  Such a great read.  Full of useful and interesting information.  I keep it on my kitchen bench and refer to it all the time.  I’ve lost 7kgs in the short time I’ve been following these tips and I’m still losing.  Thanks Vickie.

For anyone who has experienced constant weight fluctuations from fad diets, this book could be life changing.  Vickie teaches you how to stop focusing on the quick fixes and starting eating healthy, balanced nutrient dense meals that are not only tasty, but which leave you satisfied. To make it even easier, if you don’t wish to take the time to count calories, some very detailed, delicious meal plans have been provided to get you started.  This book is a quick education in nutrition which explains the issues with fad diets and why they initially work according to the scales, and why your weight will inevitably creep back on after a period of time.

Vickie teaches you how to change your lifestyle such that you lose weight, feel healthier and stronger, have more energy and stop the inevitable binge that comes after a period of food deprivation.  In my own household, I cater for varying dietary restrictions with one daughter a vegan, one a vegetarian, myself being dairy and gluten free, and a ravenous teenage son who can’t get enough meat, dairy and vegetables to keep him full for long.  I can use the tips in this book to create meals that will satisfy the family’s varying needs while working a full-time job and fitting in time for exercise, time with family and friends – and time for sleep.  I highly recommend reading Diet Tips for Busy Chicks.
