I've never stopped dreaming of becoming a writer ...

As a child, I always had my head in a book. It was my escape from reality, taking me to places that made my imagination thrive and my heart sing.   Enid Blyton's Enchanted Wood and The Magic Faraway Tree were among my favourites. As I grew up, I began putting pen to paper, developing my own weird and wonderful characters and brining together an abundance of stories my friends would love to hear me read. As an adult, I got to thinking what it would be like to write fashion-centred mystery stories full of high stakes, big drama, mystery and suspense.

But life got in the way, and my dream of building an empire full of rich characters, pulsating drama and the occasional love affair faded into oblivion. I entered the corporate world instead, putting my overimaginative mind to rest.

Decades later, I started penning a novel, but switched to self-help non-fiction, believing I would be better off sharing the knowledge I had gained  after completing studies in nutrition and weight management.

My plan was to self-publish, however I was offered a publishing contract after writing my first manuscript.  It was an exciting time for me. Then sadly, despite great book sales, personal circumstances forced me to walk away and my writing career was put on hold once again.

Fast forward a few years, and I was back penning my first ever novel.  It's taken a while and a few different pathways to land where it is now, but I'm very excited to announce that it will be published in 2024/5.

When I'm not writing or working in my day job,  you'll find me having coffee with friends, walking in nature, devouring a great book, or researching all things fashion. I live and breath the styles of clothing and accessories worn throughout history to modern times.  I have an insane collection of fashion books, both fiction and non-fiction. Oh, and I LOVE my Mont Blanc pen - there's nothing better to write with! I live with my wonderful husband in Melbourne, Australia, where we spend as much quality time together as our hectic lives allow.
